Nocatee has again been ranked as the nation’s third best-selling master-planned community in the nation, behind only mega retiree community The Villages and The Irvine Ranch in Orange County, California. The numbers were just released by consulting agencies RCLCO and John Burns Real Estate Consulting in their annual master-planned community reports.

Nocatee continues to grow at a rapid pace, celebrating its 3,000th home sale at the end of 2014.

While the numbers are consistent with Nocatee’s performance midway through 2014—when it was ranked number three by RCLCO’s Mid-Year 2014 Update—they demonstrate Nocatee’s explosive growth over the past year. The community rose from the number-five position on the 2013 report, while other similar communities showed significant declines. Just three short years ago, the community sat at the number-14 spot. For 2014, Nocatee was the only community in the top five to show growth from the previous year.

“It’s gratifying to see how well we’re doing not only in North Florida, but when compared to other master-planned communities throughout the United States,” said Rick Ray, President and CEO of The PARC Group, Nocatee’s master developer. “Nocatee’s success lies in its unique lifestyle, which blends a coastal location with world-class amenities and top-ranked schools.”

A number of new neighborhoods were added in 2014, including Greenleaf Lakes, The Villas at Nocatee, Addison Park, Cypress Trails and Siena at Town Center. In September, Nocatee announced the addition of Twenty Mile, a collection of unique neighborhoods featuring sprawling oak trees, split rail fencing and an old-Florida feel. Nocatee also sold out several established communities in 2014, including Kelly Pointe and Brookwood.

New amenities were also added in 2014. Splash Water Park now includes another new family pool, a children’s spray-ground, and additional deck space, shade and covered seating areas. Other additions included a junior Olympic-size, eight-lane competition pool with shaded bleachers, restrooms, a scoreboard and an event lawn. Several amenities were added on dry land too, including a new kayak launch on the Intracoastal Waterway, four half-court basketball courts, lighted pickleball courts and a volleyball court.
